Business financing referrals · Local businesses

Start with the cost your business needs to cover.

A useful funding request identifies a purchase or an operating expense, not just a broad ambition. Describe what your local business needs, the cost involved and when payment is due.

Local businesses · funding preparation

Build the request around your budget

Use the business’s current trading record as the starting point. Expected growth can explain a plan, but it should remain distinct from sales already made or payments received.

Business costs

Purchases to include in your request

01

Business equipment

Identify the machine, tool or system the business needs to buy. Include delivery and setup so the request reflects the cost of putting it into use.

02

Inventory

Connect a stock order to the products you sell and the period in which you expect to sell them. Separate confirmed supplier prices from preliminary estimates.

03

Day-to-day business costs

List the bills that fall due before expected customer receipts. Define the period covered so the request has a clear purpose and end point.

How requests work

From request to provider review

01

Define the request

Enter the amount, intended business use and the date the expense needs to be covered.

02

Describe the business

Provide your revenue range, operating history, industry and approximate personal credit range.

03

Check and submit

Review the answers and consent details, confirm your mobile number and submit the completed application.

Prepare your details

Bring your business details together

Have current revenue figures and operating history nearby before starting the form.

  • 01The amount needed, its purpose and the payment date
  • 02Monthly business receipts and operating history
  • 03Your industry, business name and estimated credit band
  • 04Owner contact information and access to a mobile phone

Review the details first

Compare the offer with your operating budget

01

Net proceeds

Check what the business would receive after any upfront deductions.

02

Total obligation

Ask for the complete amount payable, including charges and fees.

03

Payment dates

Compare the payment frequency with the dates the business normally receives cash.

Questions about our funding referral service

How is my information shared?

We sell application and contact details to up to five funding partners, who may contact you about financing. We receive payment for referrals whether or not funding is provided; there is no application fee for this service.

Who decides on an offer?

An application is a request for consideration, not a financing approval. Each provider decides eligibility, any available amount and the terms it is willing to offer.

When might a provider respond?

The date selected in the form describes your need, not a promised funding date. Provider checks, documents and the agreement determine the actual timetable.

Why is mobile verification needed?

Read the Terms, Privacy Policy and contact consent before submitting. Mobile verification confirms access to the number entered and is separate from agreeing to calls or texts.
